On 8 March 2011, at the Conference Hall of the Palazzo Reale in Milan, will be presented Benedettelli Barbara's new book, entitled "Victims forever ", published by Aliberti, already in bookstores by February 24.
Who are the victims forever? Not who is killed, but their families remained trapped in the veil of sadness. Barbara Benedettelli open a dialogue with the relatives of those who were prematurely snatched the life: Paola Pellinghelli, mother of little Tommaso Onofri, the relatives of the Victims One of the white, that after twenty years still suffer as yesterday, the cousin Tamara Monti, who was killed because his dogs were barking too much, his mother and sister Nunzia Castellano, who was killed by a man who disliked the most, the father of Antonello Zara, killed on the roads of a justice that has humbled in the death and the son of Salvatore Franco, struck down because of an accident caused by alcohol and drugs.
The author told us how his book was born.
Victims Forever was created to give voice to those who suffered, and continues to suffer the gravest of injustices: the murder of a loved one. In 2008, writing for the crimes of the Condominium Cairo Editore, I came into contact with the relatives of the victims and I could not stop thinking about their broken lives. Their voices trembling, their eyes wide, with perpetually bloodshot eyes, were printed in my mind that I returned them to follow every day, forcing me to write pages and pages for them. With them.
Victims This is Forever. A book in which the soul of the writer and tells you who is naked, stripped at times. Pages that feeling, the passion civil pain but also the love for life, are interspersed with the complaint of a system that allows double, triple, endless injustice. Those make these people, in fact, Victims Still. Not once, but whenever a court fails to follow, whenever a murderess intrudes again in those lives torn, injured, deprived of any human right. Every time that we, people, public opinion, politicians, judges, writers, we forget that the effect of a murder does not end with the death of a human being irretrievably "deleted", but who continues in survives the death. Because a human being is an entire world. A world full of meaning, history and people.
In the preface Rita by the Church tells for the first time publicly the pain for the death of his father, General Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa. Useful afterword of the criminologist Massimo Picozzi, for those who are close to those who suffered the worst losses, the most serious injustices.
